China's Top Medical Institutions
China’s hospital classification system is a national accreditation framework managed by health authorities to evaluate medical institutions. The country currently operates a three-tier healthcare system, with each tier subdivided into Grade A and Grade B. “Tier 3 Grade A” (Sanji Jiadeng)represents the absolute highest standard of medical care in mainland China.
As premium healthcare resources, Tier 3 hospitals are predominantly located in major metropolitan areas like provincial capitals, though a select few county-level hospitals in highly developed regions also achieve this elite status. The absolute pinnacle of these top-tier hospitals is concentrated in major economic and educational hubs, such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenyang.
Accreditation framework
Tier: 三 = 3、二 = 2、一 = 1
Grade:甲 = A、乙 = B、丙 = C
eg. 三甲(3A) is the top-tier certification
